We’re thrilled to share some exciting updates from our Scholarship Fund! Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we’re able to continue empowering students and expanding our initiatives in impactful ways. Here’s a look at what we’ve accomplished together and what’s on the horizon.
Fall General Scholarship Recipients
This fall, we’re proud to have awarded scholarships to 11 exceptional students at George Mason University and Northern Virginia Community College each receiving $2,500 to help pursue their educational dreams. These scholarships provide more than just financial support—they’re a stepping stone to success, helping students thrive in their studies and beyond. Ongoing EIP Support
Our commitment to the Early Identification Program (EIP) remains strong. We’re thrilled to announce support for two newly selected EIP students, Sarahi Garcia Romero and Nathaly Fuentes. Each student will receive $4,500 per year for the next three years, empowering them to stay on track and achieve their academic goals. Learn more about EIP on their homepage.
New EIP Scholarships
Looking to the future, we are excited to support two more EIP students upon their June high school graduation. These scholarships are also $4,500 each awarded for their first semester of freshman year, ensuring they start college with the resources they need to succeed.
Expanding Our Impact: Mason LIFE Program
We’re also excited to announce our support for the Mason LIFE Program at George Mason University, with a $10,000 scholarship going towards this transformative initiative. Mason LIFE provides inclusive education and life skills training for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Through academic, social, and independent living experiences, students gain skills and confidence in a supportive environment that fosters independence and personal growth. 2025 Goal: Increase Scholarship Amounts
To further our impact, we’ve set a new goal for 2025. Currently, each General Scholarship recipient receives $2,500, but we aim to increase this to $4,500 per recipient. This increase would cover more educational expenses, helping students focus more fully on their studies. We believe this change will significantly reduce financial barriers and empower even greater academic success.
