SCHOLARSHIP AWARDEES

GEORGE MASON UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

This academic year our Board has granted scholarships to 11 deserving students; 10 at George Mason University (GMU) and 1 attending Northern Virginia Community College (NVCC). We provided 3 endowed scholarships to three amazing students — The Women's Club of Great Falls Endowment, the Doris Fisher Irwin Endowment and the Holly Ann Kuga Endowment. We also funded 2 more GMU Early Identification Program (EIP) students, Sarahi Garcia Romero and Nathaly Fuentes, building on last year’s new program initiative.  And, we extended our support for both of these EIP student’s scholarships for the next 3 years. In addition, we have committed to providing funding to two new EIP students starting their freshman year in the fall of 2025.

Our Board was excited to add a NEW initiative this year to support inclusive education with a $10,000 scholarship for the George Mason University Mason LIFE Program. Together, we are helping students with intellectual and developmental disabilities receive inclusive education to enable them to gain life skills and independence. Learn more about the program here.
